WaffleIQ Inc. ("WaffleIQ", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Service.

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, company, payment details); information generated through your use of the Service (searches, lists, ICP configurations); and technical information (IP address, browser type, usage data) collected automatically.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service; authenticate your account and process payments; send transactional emails and product updates; comply with legal obligations; and prevent fraud and abuse.

4. Data Sources

WaffleIQ surfaces publicly available professional information (job titles, company affiliations, published work) to help sales and recruiting teams identify relevant contacts. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial records, health information, or private communications.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with service providers acting on our behalf (payment processors, cloud infrastructure, analytics), and as required by law. We may share aggregate, anonymized data for research or business purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, plus a 90-day grace period after cancellation. Search results and exported data are retained for 12 months. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; opt out of certain processing; data portability; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email privacy@waffleiq.com.

8. GDPR

For users in the European Economic Area, WaffleIQ processes personal data on the lawful bases of contract performance, legitimate interests, and consent where applicable. Data transfers outside the EEA use Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. CCPA

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it's used, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information). Submit requests to privacy@waffleiq.com.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and preference storage, and analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

11. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We'll notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice in the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
